UFC Fight Analyst — In-Arena (Part-Time)
Las Vegas, NV — ongoing · plus one-off cards in Phoenix, Salt Lake City & New York · Independent contractor
Get paid to go to UFC events. $300 per event, your ticket and travel covered. The ongoing role is in Las Vegas, where a card runs most weeks of the year. We are also hiring single-event analysts for the handful of cards the UFC takes on the road each year — one assignment, one date, same pay. No prior experience needed; if you know the sport, we'll train you on the rest.
About us
We build structured event data sets for professional sports. Our collection team works across several leagues; this opening is for our MMA coverage. Las Vegas is our home market, where a card runs most weeks of the year, and we cover the arenas the UFC tours to as each card is announced.
The role
Field analysts attend assigned events in person and record what happens during each fight using our mobile collection tool. Full training provided — no prior data experience required.
You work the whole card, prelims through the main event. There are two ways to do it, and you apply the same way for both — tell us your city and we'll match you to the right one.
Las Vegas — ongoing
The standing role. Assignments are UFC cards at the UFC Apex on the UFC campus — Fight Nights, plus Dana White's Contender Series every Tuesday night — with numbered events at T-Mobile Arena. A card runs most weeks, so this works out to roughly 2–4 assignments a month, year round.
Elsewhere — one card at a time
The UFC takes a handful of cards on the road each year. Each one is a single assignment on a fixed date, not an ongoing commitment: you work that one card and that is the job. Pay, ticket and travel are exactly the same as the Las Vegas role. We are hiring now for:
- Phoenix, AZ — Desert Diamond Arena, Glendale — Saturday 12 September 2026 (Noche UFC)
- Salt Lake City, UT — the Delta Center — Saturday 3 October 2026 (UFC 332)
- New York, NY — Madison Square Garden — Saturday 14 November 2026 (UFC 334)
The UFC publishes its schedule only two to three months ahead, so these are the road cards announced so far. If it returns to your city we will come back to you first, and analysts who work a road card well are the ones we ask again — but plan on one date, not a schedule.
Compensation
$300 per assignment attended. Event ticket and all travel expenses fully covered, including rideshare and transit to and from the venue.
The $300 base rate is not fixed. Rates are reviewed periodically and may be adjusted up or down for future assignments based on how accurate and reliable your event records are — did you catch the events, were they on time, did you show up when scheduled. Analysts who consistently exceed the standard are moved to a higher rate.
Independent contractor. Payment within 3 days of each assignment.
What the assignment involves
- Attend assigned cards in person at your city's arena, ticket provided
- Record fight events through the tool as they occur
- Stay for the full card and submit your record before leaving the venue
Requirements
- Based in Las Vegas, or in a city with a road card listed above — or able to reach that arena reliably on the night. Travel is fully covered, including rideshare and transit
- For the ongoing Las Vegas role: available through the year for a card most weeks. Contender Series runs every Tuesday night and Fight Nights are typically Saturday afternoons, so being free on Tuesdays matters most
- For a one-off road card: free for that whole day. Road cards are Saturdays, and you need no other availability — no Tuesdays, no ongoing commitment
- Deep passion/familiarity with MMA. We need people who have trained or followed the sport closely for years — enough that reading a fight is second nature. You should be able to tell what just happened on your own, immediately, without waiting for the replay board, the commentary, or the reaction of the crowd around you. Knowing the difference between a sweep and a scramble, or half guard and a body triangle, should not require a second look.
- You'll be working the card rather than watching it socially — we need your attention on the cage throughout, including the prelims
- Smartphone with reliable cellular data, charged to last the full card — cards run five to six hours
- Dependable scheduling and responsiveness; assignments are confirmed in advance
Bonus
- Live within easy reach of your city's arena — the UFC Apex or T-Mobile Arena, Desert Diamond Arena, the Delta Center, or Madison Square Garden
- Trained or competed in MMA, wrestling, BJJ, boxing, muay thai, or judo at any level — gym, amateur, or professional
- Longtime follower of the UFC or any major promotion
- Judging, cornering, or officiating experience
